Client/Project Brief Description
Zerutram is a sustainability-driven startup in Nigeria focused on tackling the country's growing waste management crisis through technology. With rapid urbanization and increasing plastic waste, Nigeria faces severe environmental challenges, including pollution, clogged drainage systems, and inefficient recycling processes. Zerutram aims to bridge the gap between households, businesses, and recycling plants by offering a digital solution that simplifies waste collection, encourages recycling habits, and rewards users for their contributions.
The company recognized that many Nigerians were willing to recycle but lacked the infrastructure, incentives, and education to do so effectively. By leveraging mobile technology, Zerutram sought to create a seamless platform that connects users with waste collection services, educates them on recycling best practices, and fosters a greener, more sustainable future.
Project Goals
Develop an intuitive mobile app that enables users to schedule waste pickups.
Implement a reward system that incentivizes users to recycle.
Connect households and businesses with certified recycling centers.
Provide educational resources on proper waste disposal and recycling benefits.
Offer real-time tracking of waste collection and impact metrics.
Create a scalable model that can be expanded across multiple Nigerian cities

Unstructured waste collection, resulting in pollution and health hazards.
Limited incentives for individuals and businesses to participate in recycling programs.

Community Engagement: Partnering with influencers and local environmental groups to promote the brand.
